Health Fairs

CCRTD actively collaborates with the Community Health and Men's Promotion Summit (CHAMPS) organization to host its annual free health fair in Metropolitan Atlanta. The CHAMPS health fair offers various types of preventive screenings, which focus on general health conditions and risk factors for diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, this health fair offers screenings for chronic and debilitating diseases prevalent in racial/ethnic communities and behavioral health conditions. While CHAMPS provides screening and health education to all individuals who participate, it specifically targets men and the medically undeserved who are at greater risks for developing certain health disorders.

Faculty and researchers in the Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University participated in a Health and Wellness Forum, sponsored by The King Center as a part of its 2010 King holiday observance.
